Zhang Wenhai

Zhang Wenhai, a famous nonferrous metallurgy expert. Currently he is the   senior technical consultant of Nerin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, national design master and professor-level senior engineer.

He has presided over the entire process of engineering design of many major projects at home and abroad such as Guixi Smelter of Jiangxi Copper Company, Anhui Jinlong Copper Industry Company and Khatoon Abad Copper Smelter Iran.

As an expert who is enjoying the special allowance from the State Council, he has been awarded 17 prizes, among them are National May 1st Labor Medal, 1st- prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, Gold Award of the National Excellent Engineering Design, Gold Award of National Excellent Computer Software, Hong Kong Liu Yongling Award, Special Contribution Award of Jiangxi Provincial People's Government for Science and Technology. In 2009 on the 60th anniversary of the People's Republic of China, he was enlisted as one of 30 most influential people of China's nonferrous metal industry. In 2010, he was rated as one of 30 most influential labor models of Jiangxi Province.

He once was the standing committee member of the 8th and 9th CPPCC National Committee of Jiangxi Province. Currently he is the vice chairman of Jiangxi Science and Technology Association and the honorary chairman of Jiangxi Provincial Intellectuals Association.
