
Long Yan
Long Yan, a well-known environmental expert. As the professor-level senior engineer and state registered environmental engineer, she is currently the deputy chief engineer of Nerin.
As the chief designer of many projects of solid waste and hazardous waste treatment, she has been involved in 10 plus large and medium-sized projects invested by state including first domestic waste sanitary landfill and first industrial hazardous waste treatment project in China; she has also been the editor-in-chief of 5 industrial and national standards and rules and has presided over one public welfare scientific research subject sponsored by the State Ministry of Environmental Protection; she has published 10 plus academic papers and 2 works.
She has been awarded one 2nd-prize of national scientific and technological progress medal, four 1st- prizes and five 2nd- prizes of provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress medals, and more than 10 other awards; one industrial "outstanding project (general contract) award" and one national patent. Besides, she has been awarded some honorary titles including the Remarkable Personnel of Environmental Impact Assessment Projects by the State Ministry of Environmental Protection in 2000, the Remarkable Personnel of Environmental Impact Assessment Projects by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government in 2006, the outstanding chief designer by the National Nonferrous Metals Industry Association of China in 2007, the Outstanding Personnel in the national environmental protection science and technology work during the "Eleven
