
Yuan Guocai
Yuan Guocai, a well-known mineral processing expert, is currently one of NERIN’s deputy chief engineers, a senior engineer (professor-level) and a Certified Mineral Processing Engineer.
He has served as a chief designer/project manager and a technological principal of mineral processing in the overall process of many mine projects such as Jiangxi Fujiawu Copper-Molybdenum Mine, Zijinshan Gold Mine Phase II, III and IV of Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd, Zijinshan Copper Mine (including copper extraction with hydrometallurgical process) and Guangdong Xiagao Iron Mine. As a technological principal of mineral processing (ore beneficiation), he has taken part in and completed over 60 design projects (approximately 30 projects have been constructed and commissioned), including large-scale projects such as Upgrading of Concentrator of Dexing Copper Mine, Soalala Iron Mine, Madagascar, Lac Iron Mine, Canada and Monywa Copper Mine, Myanmar.
He has published 15 articles on the national core Chinese journals and other journals, participated in the compilation of two industrial books and won many authorized patents and many Provincial and Ministerial Awards for Science and Technology Progress and Awards for Engineering Design and Consulting.
He has been a member of the 5th and 6th Academic Committees of Mineral Processing of the Nonferrous Metals Society of China from 2005 to 2014 and is concurrently a review expert in advanced technologies and mine projects of the Ministry of Land and/Natural Resources, the Ministry of Science and Technology and China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and a long-term review expert in mine development and utilizati
