Ye Wei

Ye Wei, a well-known nonferrous metallurgy expert, is currently the chief deputy engineer of NERIN, the director of the technical committee, the professor-level senior engineer, and the national registered metallurgical engineer.

She has presided over all previous upgrade and expansion projects of Jiangxi Copper Guixi Smelter, undertook multiple critical projects such as the second phase, third phase, and fourth phase projects of Jiangxi Copper Guixi Smelter, the 200kta copper smelting project of Zijin Copper, and the environmental upgrade and relocation project of Chifeng Yuntong Nonferrous Co, participated in overall process of engineering design or EPC of major foreign projects such as the Philippine Associated Smelting and Refining Smelter (PASAR) and Serbia Zijin Bor Copper Smelter Expansion Project. She is the editor of "Code for Design of Secondary Copper Smelter Process" and other national standards.

She has won the First Prize of National Award for Science and Technology Progress, the Gold Prize of National Excellent Engineering Design, First Prize and Second Prize of Provincial and Ministerial Award for Science and Technology Progress, First Prize of Provincial and Ministerial Awards for Excellent Engineering Design, over 20 Awards in total. Among them, the Guixi Smelter Phase 4 project presided by Ye Wei has been honored one of Top 100 Significant and Classic Projects of New China.
