China Nerin Successfully Wins the Bid Section of Mineral Processing and Hydrometallurgy in the Mixed Ore Design Project of CMOC Tenke Fungurume Copper-Cobalt Mine, DRC

May 18, after the intense competition with strong competitors in the industry, China Nerin successfully wins a world-class copper-cobalt mine project —— the bid section of mineral processing and hydrometallurgy in the mixed ore design project of Tenke Fungurume Copper-Cobalt Mine in DRC owned by China Molybdenum Industry.

Tenke Fungurume Copper-Cobalt Mine is a hydrometallurgical copper-cobalt mine with the largest metal production capacity in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The total copper and cobalt metal amount in the mine are as high as 28,000,000 t and 3,000,000 t. When the mixed ore project is completed, the total throughput will be around 65000t/a ore and the production capacity will be 460,000 t/a copper cathode and 38,000 t/a cobalt hydroxide (measured at cobalt metal). The capacity of copper cathode (hydrometallurgy) and cobalt hydroxide will rank No. 2 and No. 1 in the world.

China Nerin by winning the bid further cements its technical superiority in hydrometallurgical copper-cobalt mines in Central Africa and expands the international influence of its brand.
