The Delegation of Zambia Mineral Resources Development and Management Training Program Visits China Nerin

On July 4, a delegation from the Zambia Mineral Resources Development and Management Training Program visited China Nerin. He Feng, Deputy General Manager of China Nerin, warmly welcomed the guests, and the two sides engaged in in-depth and productive discussions on topics such as green mineral resource development and environmental restoration.

He Feng extended a heartfelt welcome to the delegation and gave a briefing on China Nerin’s core business sectors, including mining and metallurgy, as well as its internationalization efforts. He highlighted the fruitful cooperation history between China Nerin and Zambia, noting the company’s involvement in key mining and metallurgical projects such as the KCM Copper Mine, Luanshya Copper Mine, and Muliashi Copper Mine. Notably, the meticulously planned Zambia-Jiangxi Economic Cooperation Zone, which blends Chinese garden aesthetics with local landscape elements, has emerged as a significant platform for Sino-Zambian economic and trade cooperation.

China Nerin has consistently adhered to green development principles, developing a mature proprietary technology system in resource recycling and green, efficient metallurgy, which has been successfully applied to projects worldwide. He Feng suggested regarding this visit as a springboard for deepening collaboration across the entire mining industry chain with Zambia. Leveraging its strengths in engineering technology R&D, equipment manufacturing, and project management, China Nerin remains committed to fueling Zambia’s transition from "raw material exports" to "value-added industrialization."

The Zambian delegation applauded China Nerin’s technical expertise and looked forward to advancing concrete cooperative projects. Both parties pledged to work in tandem to promote sustainable development and technological innovation in the mining sector.

The Zambia Mineral Resources Development and Management Training Program is organized by China’s Ministry of Commerce and hosted by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Commerce. The program brings together Zambian government officials, representatives from major mining enterprises, and technical experts and aims to intensify exchanges and cooperation between China and Zambia in mineral resource management, share China’s experience in green mine construction and ecological restoration technologies, and tap collaboration opportunities in technology, investment, environmental protection among other fields.

Representatives from China Nerin’s Mining Business Unit, Environmental Company, Marketing Department, and Technical Quality Department attended the exchange session.
