Madagascan President Presides over Commissioning Ceremony: Nerin-Designed Water Plant Benefits Hundreds of Thousands

On May 15, 2026, the commissioning ceremony for the MANDROSEZA Compact Water Treatment Plant, designed by China Nerin, was successfully held. Michael Randrianirina, President of Madagascar, presided over the ceremony, cutting the ribbon and unveiling the plaque to witness the official launch of this livelihood project, which benefits hundreds of thousands of people in the capital.

As the largest and oldest water plant in the capital of Madagascar, MANDROSEZA shoulders the vital mission of ensuring safe drinking water for nearly 3 million people. This expansion project utilizes stainless steel prefabricated integrated equipment and innovatively applies the advanced process of grid reaction + inclined tube sedimentation + V-type filter pools. With a designed daily treatment capacity of 25,000 cubic meters, the plant boasts significant advantages such as a high degree of automation, stable and high-quality product water, and convenient, efficient operation and maintenance. All indicators surpass the standards set by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Upon being put into operation, the project will meet the safe water demands of an additional 500,000 residents in the capital, effectively alleviating the long-standing water shortage in the local area and tangibly improving the quality of life and well-being of the public. Meanwhile, all main equipment for this project was produced by Chinese manufacturers, fully demonstrating the core strength and leading technology of "Made in China". It not only provides strong support for upgrading Madagascar's water conservancy infrastructure but also helps the "Belt and Road" Initiative take root in Africa, further solidifying the foundation of China-Africa connectivity through tangible improvements to people's livelihoods.

As a professional technical service provider with nearly 70 years of deep cultivation in the engineering and technology sector, China Nerin provided a one-stop solution for the project, ranging from preliminary consultation and scheme design to full-process on-site technical services. During the project's advancement, China Nerin dispatched an experienced professional technical team to provide on-site services, accurately aligning with local needs and promptly resolving various technical difficulties in early planning and construction. Relying on solid professional capabilities, a rigorous work attitude, and extensive engineering experience, the team provided a solid guarantee for the efficient progress and on-time operation of the project. They ensured that both the product water quality and energy consumption indicators reached advanced industry levels, interpreting the overseas corporate social responsibility of Chinese enterprises with technology and dedication.
